Tealium is easing up custom JS tags

The most sufficient way to set up Google Analytics through Tealium is to create a jQuery onHadler extension available from the events form in iQ Tag Management environment.

The most sufficient way to set up Google Analytics events through Tealium is to create a jQuery onHadler extension available from the events form in iQ Tag Management environment. Event tracking also requires relevant UDO values be included in the tracking calls.

Tealium Events extension introduces standardised event names into your solution, along with a new variable in your data layer called tealium_event. It covers the standard e-commerce customer journey and includes familiar events such as “Add to Cart”, “Product Detail Page View”, and “Purchase Complete”.

  1. Hi there! I prefer GA Tag Manager, because it allows very granular tracking, to highlite points in prospects pipelines, plus integration with Google ecosystem. Thanks

  2. Grgs, thx for the post. Recently, started to observe/implement Tealium on client’s request. IMHO, GTM has easier navigation, but Tealium has this built-in jQuery Selector for jQuery events on-site, which saves everyone’s time. BW
